One of the books I’m actively working on and writing at the moment is one I’m tentatively calling Non-Player Character or NPC.
A little googling and Goodreads hunting shows there’s a number of books with that title or some variation on it, which is unfortunate, but the story I’m pulling together is different enough that I think it may still work. Plus, I see this as a first in a series and already have a plan for what the second book would be called, and it thematically fits.
As much as this will be something of a cosy LitRPG fantasy book, it will come with trigger warnings, as a core element of the plot revolves around what happens after the main character unalives themself. So obviously, go forward knowing that, as if that is a particular trigger for you, you should bear it in mind.
Okay, so after the jump will be a brief breakdown of the story idea, and what I’m going for, followed by an early first draft of the first chapter. Again, apologies for the formatting, still not found a really good way to do that in here, as yet.
